Bakelite Sheet (Phenolic Laminate)

Bakelite — formally known as phenol-formaldehyde resin (PF) laminate — is one of the oldest and most reliable engineering plastics. These dense, hard sheets are manufactured by impregnating layers of paper or fabric with phenolic resin and pressing them under high heat and pressure. The result is a dimensionally stable material with excellent electrical insulation, mechanical strength and heat resistance.

Phenolic Laminate · Grade CE / PF-CP
Bakelite Sheet — Orange / Natural Brown
Hard, dense phenolic resin laminate sheets with a characteristic orange or reddish-brown colour. Manufactured by hot-pressing resin-impregnated paper layers into a solid, rigid board. Machinable by sawing, milling, drilling and turning.

Key properties: Excellent electrical insulation · High compressive strength · Low moisture absorption · Dimensionally stable · Heat resistant to ~120°C continuous · Self-extinguishing (UL94 V-0 available)
Thickness: 3 – 100mm Sheet size: 1000×2000mm Colour: Orange / Natural Brown Grade: CE / PF201 / PF-CP Density: 1.35 g/cm³ Dielectric strength: ≥14 kV/mm
Typical Applications
  • Electrical insulation boards and terminal blocks
  • Transformer spacers and coil formers
  • Switchgear and panel board components
  • Jig plates and fixture bases for machine shops
  • Mechanical wear pads, bushings and bearing plates
  • PCB test fixtures and drilling backup boards

Plastic Sheet
PVC Foam Board (Celuka Board / Forex)

PVC foam board — also called Celuka board, Forex, or sintra board — is a lightweight, rigid closed-cell PVC sheet with a smooth, hard surface. It combines the workability of wood with the weather resistance and chemical inertness of PVC. Available in white and a range of colours, in thicknesses from 1mm to 25mm.

Mineral Wool Slab / Batt — Thermal & Acoustic
Rigid to semi-rigid mineral wool boards made from molten volcanic rock spun into fine fibres and bonded with a thermosetting resin binder. The characteristic golden-yellow colour indicates a standard glass-wool or mineral wool composition. Supplied in pre-cut batts for easy friction-fit installation between studs, rafters and floor joists.

Key properties: Non-combustible (Euroclass A1 / A2) · Thermal conductivity λ ≈ 0.035–0.040 W/mK · Sound absorption coefficient α ≥ 0.90 · Resistant to mould, rot and vermin · Does not settle or sag over time · Vapour permeable
Thickness: 25 – 100mm Width: 600mm / 1200mm Density: 30 – 100 kg/m³ Temp. range: up to 700°C Fire rating: Non-combustible A1 Brand: Pöwer Mineral Wool
Typical Applications
  • External wall cavity insulation
  • Internal partition wall acoustic insulation
  • Roof and ceiling thermal insulation
  • Floor insulation between joists
